The X Factor 2009 was a Schalafanian television music competition to find new singing talent, Dotty Cooper the winner of the series received a recording contract with the CCML record label. The fifth series started on WTV on 22 August 2009 and ended on 6 December 2009. The show was presented by Vanessa Pohlman.
Selection process[]
Applications and auditions[]
As always the selection process consisted of auditions over the biggest cities within Schalafania; Munamanda, San Cristobal, Gaols, Holsk, Subal, Stephen, Brillo, St. Michael, Las Angeles, Legende, San Andreas and Le Chats Noirs. The Audition process lasted over 31 days and all 3 judges were present.
Bootcamp[]
The bootcamp phase of the competition whittled contestants from 216 down to 24. Each person had to perform one song of their choice that had been in the Smash Hit 40 within the last five years. Early show favourites Adrianna Werner and Honey sailed through to the Judge's houses.
Judges' houses[]
For the Judges houses stage Hypro, Shine and Starr were the three judges on the panel. Hypro took the girls to Tenerife. Starr mentored the groups in Hollywood. Shine hosted the boys in Bude.
